Deep in thought, Marcus stared at the duck-egg blue walls while his mind fumbled for the passcode, but at last, remembering, he typed it into the small rectangular keypad beside the doorway and waited for it to open. Tom whistled softly through his teeth as he stepped inside, his wide eyes filled with the splendour. Amazing. So this is how the other half lives. Nice isnt it. Suddenly, his shoulders slumped forward, his expression changed to one of sorrow, and he looked more than his years. From personal experience, he knew how demanding and physically taxing the podium could be, and his encounters with the Kentali had been anything but pleasant. I remember my first trip. When I came here with Phelps. Took me weeks before I managed to make the connection, and not through lack of trying, but when I did, I got stuck on there for most of the day. There was no-one to guide me. But I will be here for you. The thought comforted Tom and brought a smile to his face.
